The Role
To support their growth objectives, Pritchard Industries seeks to hire a SVP, Supply Chain who will have responsibility for delivering incremental margin for Pritchard’s entire portfolio of Direct and Indirect spend and capital expenditures (approximately $180M annually in direct goods and services and indirect spends and $3M in capital expenditures). Under the leadership of the SVPSC, the company will achieve maximum value and savings from spend, while balancing/enhancing other requirements such as sales, customer requirements, quality, service, buying income, fill rates, and delivery.
Experience & Requirements
At least ten years of sourcing and/or supply chain experience in a well-respected organization
Mature understanding of integrated role of people, policies, processes, and systems necessary for sustained success in delivery of strategic and operational sourcing services
Mastery of modern strategic sourcing processes and category management strategies for direct, indirect, and transportation spend categories
Expertise in negotiations and contracting, including e-sourcing, should-cost models, leveraged agreements, multi-year contracts, complex terms and conditions, performance incentives, and management of corporate risk
A distinguished track record of year-over-year delivery of value and implemented savings on a TCO basis
Strong financial, quantitative, and analytical skills; embraces fact?based decision making; naturally seeks to leverage and/or integrate market data, spend analytics, and cost modeling
Strong project management skills, including stakeholder, timeline, and meeting management skills
Able to manage internal customers; skilled at institutionalizing stakeholder communications for input and alignment
Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences
Able to connect with team members at all levels of the organization, i.e., field, management, executives, etc.
A flexible, dynamic, self-demanding and proactive individual; able to motivate him/herself and others
