Nivel currently generates $300M in annual revenue and plans to double the size of the business over the next 3-5 years, both organically and through strategic acquisitions. Nivel
is backed by Morgan Stanley Capital Partners, a leading mid-market private equity firm.

The Role

Nivel is seeking a new Senior Category Management Leader, to lead the
transformation and professionalization of the category management
function. Reporting directly to the Director, Sourcing, this position will be
responsible for developing and executing on category strategies across
raw materials and finished parts, implementing best practices, and
building out a formalized Supplier Relationship Management function.
This leader will assist in managing a team responsible for $125M in direct
spend. The role will be based at, or willing to travel regularly to, company headquarters in Jacksonville, FL.

Experience & Requirements

At least ten years of sourcing, category management, and/or supply
chain experience in a relevant manufacturing or distribution
environment.
• Demonstrated experience with modern strategic sourcing processes
and category management strategies for direct spend categories;
experience with commodities required.
• Expertise setting strategy across spend analysis, category planning,
target setting, and strategies for risk related raw material commodity
spend.
• Track record of building or professionalizing and leading RFI/RFP
processes, vertical integration, should/cost modeling, supplier
consolidation, negotiations, contracting, alternative supply, VA/VE
initiatives, etc.
• Demonstrated expertise building out strong supplier relationship
function, including supplier innovation initiatives, partnerships that
drive end-to-end cost reduction, and quality and performance
management. History of “sitting at the table” for complicated
negotiations.
• Strong financial, quantitative, and analytical skills; embraces fact-based
decision making; naturally seeks to leverage and/or integrate
market data, spend analytics, and cost modeling
• Strong project management skills, including stakeholder, timeline,
and meeting management skills.
• Able to manage internal customers; skilled at institutionalizing
stakeholder communications for input and alignment.
• Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and
presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal
stakeholders and external audiences
• Able to connect with team members at all levels of the organization,
i.e., plant operations, management, executives
• A flexible, dynamic, self-demanding and proactive individual; able to
motivate him/herself and others
