PhyNet Dermatology LLC is a leading dermatology practice management company with over 280 network physicians and providers practicing at approximately 120 locations in 18 states across the country. Since its founding, PhyNet has been rapidly growing through both de novo and acquisition, growing to ~$350M in revenue this year. In 2018, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP) acquired a majority stake in PhyNet. The company is headquartered in Franklin, TN.
The Role
With support from OTPP, PhyNet has plans to continue expanding with an intentional focus on organic growth. PhyNet is now seeking to hire a new Vice President of Finance who will have accountability for the day-to-day financial operations, financial performance and analysis, and optimization of financial processes and systems. The ideal candidate will possess: (1) finance leadership experience in a distributed healthcare services environment of relevant size and complexity; (2) expertise in the finance function, including FP&A, operational finance, and M&A integrations; and (3) a track record of building and scaling centralized financial systems in a high-change, fast paced environment; and (4) superior advisory, relationship, and stakeholder management necessary to drive change in high-growth, investor-backed environment. The VP of Finance will report directly to the CFO and is ideally based at company headquarters in Franklin, TN (Nashville).
Experience & Requirements
• At least 6 years of professional experience that includes some combination of finance and FP&A management in a healthcare organization of relevant scale and complexity.
• Experience building and managing financial models for short, medium, and long-term (multi-year) projections for financial performance (sales, profit, cash, etc.).
• Knowledge and experience in both facility and professional billing processes within the healthcare services industry.
• Highly skilled in excel, Power BI, and other finance analytics tools.
• Knowledge of physician compensation modeling and contracting (i.e. working in close partnership with dedicated provider compensation group).
• Experience supporting banking and investor relations; knowledge of compliance certifications etc.
• Naturally inclusive and collaborative across a full range of internal stakeholders/levels, including physicians. Demonstrated ability to manage and lead by influence. Maintains a superior customer service attitude.
• A dynamic leader who possesses the strategic and executive weight to challenge the status quo when/where necessary. Pivots style to produce results, e.g., reporter/partner/driver, depending on stakeholder engagement and nature of challenge.
• Entrepreneurial and hands-on. Comfortable with ambiguity. Thrives working in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
