Founded in 2024 through the merger of Acrylic Products and Functional Forms, the company is headquartered out of Germany, has a global footprint of 15 production sites spanning 10 countries, and employs over 1500 people worldwide.
The Role
The ideal candidate will possess: (1) operations leadership experience in a company of relevant size and complexity; (2) functional expertise in manufacturing, SHE, quality, and capital investment; (3) a track record of building processes and organizational capabilities and driving continuous improvement results; and (4) superior and inspirational advisory, relationship, and stakeholder management skills; a bias towards action and a player-coach mentality. The role reports to the global EVP of Manufacturing, leads a team of ~240, and is based on-site in Mount Vernon, IN.
Experience & Requirements
• 5+ years of experience as a site leader in complex manufacturing sites.
• Experience in process manufacturing preferred, especially plastics/chemicals.
• Experience in functions including manufacturing, quality, SHE, and capital investment.
• Experience using continuous improvement and Lean principles to lead operational transformation (i.e. improve material flow and create additional production capacity, improve plant layout, reduce operating costs and improve EBITDA margins, improve on-time delivery, safety, and quality, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in support of metrics, data, and process-oriented objectives; ability to succinctly report on operations measures to internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent financial, quantitative, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated success as a people leader, including the ability to set and gain buy-in for strategic direction; attract, hire, retain, and develop operations leaders; and establish an engaging culture of accountability, quality, and customer focus.
• Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences. Demonstrated ability to work across multiple cultures and levels.
• A flexible, dynamic, self-demanding and proactive individual; able to motivate themselves and others.
• A willingness and ability to display a ‘roll up the sleeves’ approach, engaging in driving tactical execution when necessary, balanced with strong influencing skills and ability to inspire employees overachieve.
• Able to travel up to 25%; visiting each site at least once per quarter.
• Bachelor’s required. Engineering, operations, or business preferred.
