Culligan was acquired by BDT Capital Partners in 2021, which combined with MSD Partners to form BDT & MDS Partners in 2023.
The Role
Given company growth plans, Culligan is now seeking to hire a new President for the WaterCo business, taking responsibility for the entire P&L, including a team of ~670 employees. Reporting directly to the President of the Enterprise Dealer Group (EDG), the new leader will be chartered with continuing to drive organic and inorganic growth, building bench strength, and supporting the continued integration of the legacy WaterCo business into Culligan. The new leader will also serve as the potential successor to the President of EDG.
Experience & Requirements
• 15+ years of experience that includes progressive leadership responsibilities including P&L management, service operations, sales and customer service; experience in residential/B2C services provider environments preferred.
• 5+ years of experience managing a field team of managers and driving accountability through multiple organizational layers.
• Demonstrated experience driving financial and operational results in high growth and/or acquisitive environments.
• Track record of improving revenue, EBITDA, and cash flow and driving above-market growth achievement through effective team leadership and setting clear goals and accountability.
•Success instilling a KPI-driven approach to control operational aspects including safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
•Superior customer orientation with a clear ability to translate customer needs into short-term and long-range operating plans.
•Exceptional financial management skills; ability to lead strategic planning and budgeting processes, interpret financial data for effective decision making, anticipate potential issues and implement plans for corrective action.
•Experience forecasting, budgeting, and leading quarterly and annual business planning processes.
•Experience working in highly decentralized organizations, requiring collaboration between centralized functions and regional teams.
•A natural mentor: demonstrated ability to develop talent, recruit and lead cross-functional teams, and foster a collaborative culture.
•Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences.
