Tradebe serves customers through 4 business lines – Environmental Services, Life Sciences, Health & Nutrition and Terminals. With operations in the United States, United Kingdom, and Europe (Spain, France, Italy, and Germany), the Company employs more than 3k team members at 85 locations, generates approx. 1B Euros of revenue, and is privately held.

The Role

Reporting to the CEO, and having 6 Direct Reports, the Vice President of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Sustainability will lead all elements of Tradebe’s environmental, health and safety and sustainability programs in North America while sitting on the Executive Team. The role will have a high focus on compliance, RCRA, hazardous, non-hazardous material and safety supporting 9 processing facilities, a fleet of over 150 drivers, and 23 service centers across the United States. The VP, EH&S is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for all EHS programs while working to develop essential EHS tools and processes including working with government regulators, auditing, permitting, safety initiatives and training.

Experience & Requirements

• 10+ years developing, implementing and / or managing a safety program in an environmental services environment.
• Strong communication skills with safety professionals, regulatory and / or industry organizations.
• Expertise in all aspects of CAA, CWA, RCRA, EPCRA, OSHA, DOT, and state analogs.
• Experience overseeing compliance across multiple TSDFs.
• Strong communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; can lead an organization to drive a safety-first, compliant culture.
• A track record of improving health & safety performance and further developing these capabilities and talents in complex business environments.
• Able to work across levels and comfortable stepping in and working hands-on. Has a low-ego and genuine excitement and energy for the values and mission of the business. Earns his/her relevance across the organization through relationship building and a real sense of service.
• Exhibits a natural bias for action and a focus on results delivery and customer service. Moves with a sense of urgency and easily anticipates next steps, follow-up actions and leadership direction.
• Able to travel throughout Tradebe’s NA footprint to support operations.
