The Role

With the recent operational scaling and plans for future growth, the leadership team now seeks to hire a VP of Procurement to stand up a professional sourcing organization, focused on high quality customer service and strategic vendor relationships while balancing both cost and quality. The VP of Procurement will build and oversee the strategic sourcing organization that will support business stakeholders in a more meaningful way that aligns with the company’s growth strategy. The position reports to the Chief Operations Officer and will be based in Fort Myers, FL.

Experience & Requirements

• At least ten years of sourcing and/or supply chain experience in a well-respected organization (preferably in a field-services environment)
• Expertise in procurement operations and related policies, processes, procedures, and systems. Strong understanding of inventory management, warehousing, and control policies, processes, procedures, and systems.
• Mastery of modern strategic sourcing processes and category management strategies for direct, indirect, and transportation spend categories
• Expertise in negotiations and contracting, including e-sourcing, should-cost models, leveraged agreements, multi-year contracts, complex terms and conditions, performance incentives, and management of corporate risk
• A distinguished track record of year-over-year delivery of value and implemented savings on a TCO basis
• Strong financial, quantitative, and analytical skills; embraces fact?based decision making; naturally seeks to leverage and/or integrate market data, spend analytics, and cost modeling
• Strong project management skills, including stakeholder, timeline, and meeting management skills
• Able to manage internal customers; skilled at institutionalizing stakeholder communications for input and alignment
• Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences
• Able to connect with team members at all levels of the organization, i.e., distribution and installation operations, management, executives, etc.
• A flexible, dynamic, self-demanding and proactive individual; able to motivate themselves and others
